Since Sony decided to hop onto the OLED bandwagon, the company has been inching closer to beating LG at its own game, and using LG’s own panel at that! With the 2019 A9G, Sony has done exactly that. Here’s how and why.

Felt like a sales pitch. Is this TV future proof (considering no HDMI 2.1)? How is the acoustic sound tech. What about the home theatre situation? Does it support wireless speakers? (like LGs?). A rundown of the Android OS maybe (this one is a nitpick…but still).

Not paying $3,000 for a TV. So, when is the drawing to win it?
The TV was fine, but I was happy to see video about my country in the sample video: Uzbekistan 😂😂😂
Due to favorable reviews I’ve bought a A9G and I’m disappointed. The picture is nervous and seems to be only 60 Hz, so it’s not yet flickering but let’s say „pulsating“ and due to this headache inducing. Earlier TVs had 100Hz, 200 Hz or even more Hz for a smooth picture. I can’t believe this is Sony’s best picture, what a bummer. No reviewer seems to criticise this, don‘t believe in Marketing.
How's the picture and sound quality vs the A8G?

From where i can this table? I love it!
Definitely did not "knock lg off its perch". No HDMI 2.1, worse near black/shadow detail performance, worse black crushing, worse tone mapping, worse hdr performance, worse SDR performance, but I mean it does have mildly better motion by like 1-3%. No way this can take best.
Good review.
I have bought this OLED TV. Best Tv I have ever bought. Loving it so far.
OK I have watched this Video several times now and I am stuck at my choice of two TV's…. Samsung 8K QE65Q900RATXX or the Sony KD65AG9BU. I know you love the Sony and I can install a VPN on the Android OS, this will enable me to watch UK TV as I live in Ireland. But which would you go for the 4K Sony or the 8K Samsung?
Great reviwing by the way…. You should try to get your hands on the Panasonic TV's which we have access to here in Europe!
burn in? im out
I am a gamer and I can't see any other options than Q90R and LG C9 i hoped that LG implemented Screen sound speaker that is all
HDMI 2.1 is a deal breaker to me also
It sits right down on the stand…so if not wall mounted no room for a center channel placed in front of it or low profile sound bar.🙈
Hi…dou you have 75in Samsung the wall unboxing overview?
I agree with all the comments. 3800$ for a 2019 tv model with no variable refresh rate or HDMI 2.1…LG C9 wins it for me since the picture quality is practically the same and it has VRR HDMI 2.1, which is sweet for gamers considering the upcoming ps5 & Xbox 2. TV enthusiasts will definitely appreciate the C9 as well!
Damn all this time I’ve always thought it was Samsung..
My father had failed oled strip from af8 and they gave him ag8… ag8 is shitty plastic and stand is way higher. Speakers lack bass as well. Avoid it and get af versions.
Panasonic GZ1000 and LG C9 are much better…
You had me till not HDMI 2.1 its like when it comes to a different type of product its with a different company entirely. Honestly i think it would be really cool for them to have a Playstation line of TVs from the lower to the super high end (even just 3 SKUs would work) that would has a PS Vita TV built in and you could sign in to your PSN and have the PS5 be able to talk to each other wirelessly and focus more on features to play the games in the best possible way. Id say sortof like a tv/monitor hybrid.
compare to panasonics best oled
I thank it's funny that watching the same channel (sports, news, etc…) frequently is considered "abusive", "extreme", and/or "hard core".
Compare this with the lg c9 please
How can Sony be better than LG if LG makes their displays?
If this tv was put in a room that gets to 0°F would that damage the screen?
the best
This TV lost to C9 and
Panasonic GZ2000 at HDTV test shootout
I paid $3,600 for my first HDTV back in 2006, and that was a 61" JVC rear projection tv, which btw still works but i ended up selling for $100.00…, this one is on my xmas wish list..✌🏻
Oh well. I looked at LG vs Sony for a while in Best Buy and couldn't really tell a difference. I went with an LG C9 and love it! Pretty good upscaling, awesome color and the 4k from streaming is incredible. I probably would've said the same about the Sony A9G, but it was $700 more at the time.
It’s simple.. Is this a C9 Beater????
Another YouTuber that’s a creepy sales men sure man I will buy this tv straight away because your an awesome salesmen cough cough an honest reviewer sorry.
1:09 I thought that was the bezel and not the thickness! I had to rewind that bit. Wow.
Well caleb the lg c9 just won the first ever fully blind shootout in the uk and was rated the best TV of 2019. It beat out the gz2000 and the Sony a9g and yes it was a reference shootout with the bvm x300 monitor all logos bezels and standard were covered I would say that's the way they should all be and again the lg c9 won so this is why you need to get both in and do the side by side then you will notice that the Sony isnt better yes it's slightly better with upscaling but that's it lg has HDR performance gaming and is just the better more well rounded tv again it won a blind shootout that's saying something nobody can say oh it's because it was lg that would make no sense as you see people liek Panasonic and sony when it comes down to pure performance but this year its different again as reviews others are saying the lg c9 is the top right now if you round everything out and for the price especially hell my first choice wss Sony until I got to see them both and then realized just how good lg is this year
dont pay this much for a tv without hdmi 2.1 (4k 120hz, vrr)
My 2 year old LG OLED 4K is just fine : ) I can't say much for the cable company though!
What display videos are they watching
Watching in 144p for FULL EFFECT
I'm so glad I can use the built-in 2 1/2" speakers as a center channel to my floor-standing KEF speakers. :p
Would you recommend this for watching sports?
We are not all pro's when it comes to exemplary picture, etc. we just like a good looking picture that is very clear.
The new Panasonic are better
Panasonic oleds are the most color accurate. The new gz2000 is supposedly around 1000 nits.
